Organisation Profile

McDonald's is the largest chain of quick service restaurants in the world. We opened our first restaurant in Ireland in 1977 on Dublin's Grafton Street and today we operate 75 restaurants throughout Ireland. We serve 150,000 customers per day and directly employ over 3,500 people.

McDonald's are an equal opportunities employer. We hire from all age, culture and ability groups and provide employment to parents, students, teenagers, people with disabilities, senior citizens, people seeking part-time jobs with flexible hours and those looking for a long term career.

We are very proud that we received an O2 Ability Award in 2006 and 2007.  In 2010 we were listed, for the 6th year running, in the Irish Independent's "Best Work Places in Ireland", placed number 5 in the "20 Best Large Workplaces in Ireland" and also won Best Place to Work in the Hospitality sector.
