Cosmin Tudor, Education Profile

How did you go about getting your current job?
It was my first job. After getting my diploma in Management in Commerce and Tourism I applied for a job as Trainee Manager in McDonald's in Romania. There were no positions available at the time but I was offered a job as a crew member which I took and here I am now.

Describe a typical day?
There is no typical day in our job. I would try to plan one day a week to do administration work but even that can be disrupted by more important matters. And then every day has it's charm by being unpredictable. At the end of the day the results achieved are a reward for the team and satisfaction for me.

What are the main tasks and responsibilities?
My responsibilities are for  the overall operations of the restaurant. It is the engine of our Company because by ensuring the restaurant is performing well we are actually developing people to contribute to the functioning of the organisation. I am also responsible for the profitability of the restaurant.

What are the main challenges?
At the moment the main challenge in my job has been moving to a new restaurant and having a new in the management team and crew.  I am also facing the challenge of changing the relationship of my restaurant with the Community while also leading our team and making it perform.

What's cool?
I like having a different day in work, every day.  And this is how my colleagues like it as well - because it is challenging.

What's not so cool?
I don't like it when people are late for their job.

What particular skills do you bring to your workplace?
I think the skills that I bring are those learned by me in University.  I also have good people skills which are very important in my job. I also think that my patience has been of great benefit to me.
